I mostly pick those skills you listed and nothing else, yeah. Persuade is useful in dialogues, opens up alternative solutions or gets you better rewards. The higher it is the more likely you are to identify an item just by looking at it.

Lore is good for identifying items without the help of scrolls, potions or vendors. But all domains are valid choices, I guess, it's just a matter of preference and playstyle. You're right though, Healing might not really be necessary Sun is good against undead, and if you deal with large hordes of undead, turning is definitely useful (at higher levels it also destroys weaker foes), but Animal and Magic are probably my go-to choices (stronger team members and stoneskin). I like Animal, Magic, Sun or Healing as domains, depending on the module or just on a whim. ) My advice would be to shrug off any potentially lost XP and just have fun. If you or your character are evil, you can also abuse summons to trigger traps, so they won't hurt *you* instead. NWN is a comparatively slow game to begin with, companions and summons speed up combat a little (of which there is a lot in the OC) and give you more options by causing distractions. Still, remember that you can also buff abilities with long lasting spells and items, so 1-2 points more or less should not matter that much in the long run.Īs for companions and summons, I never worry about party size XP penalty, they are just too much fun to go without. CHA is not a dump stat for clerics though, I think it has influence on how well you can turn undead. Abilities seem alright to me, but I'm no min-maxer. Any other useful tips?Īefengrom: Pure cleric is one of the most powerful classes in NWN and relatively easy to play. Feats - I think everyhting is clear here, with Power Attack, Cleave, Combat Casting etc. TBH, I don't see any more really useful skills for Cleric. Healing seems excess, especially for solo playthrough, or?

I don't like Domains that add slight temporary boosts much (War etc), am I wrong? Healing seems excess, or? Many guides suggest Sun, but is Turn Undead (additional turnings like Destruction etc) SO useful? Domain - aforementioned Animal, Death or? Are summons good (especially with Animal domain)? Maybe, Shadow Avatar from Death domain (it looks so good)? Or maybe pure solitary solo, bashing locks and doors. Companions/summons - I've known only recently about party size XP penalty. Abilities - someting like 14-10-14-10-16-12 or? Is DEX too high or OK? Is CHA dumpable lower?Ģ. I gravitate toward melee-oriented build with spell support.ġ. Thinking about soloing NWN1 with pure/straight Cleric (no multi- or dual-class), I got lost with possibilities.
